Summary:The presented text is based on a bibliographical research whose objective is to discuss the presence of feminist social movements in brazilian society until the period of state democratization, in the perspective of the achievement of social rights for women. Introduce the development of the activities of feminist social movements in the Brazilian society, from the first incursions until its participation in the redemocratization of the Brazilian State, after the military dictatorship.The protagonism of women in the feminist movements is pointed out as responsible for achieving the conquest of a less unjust and unequal society.
