Aims: To rule out the clinical profile of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy. Methods: This was a descriptive hospital-record based cross sectional study involving a total of 50 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy from May 2013 to May 2016. The data analysis was done in Microsoft excel sheet. Results & conclusion: Dilated cardiomyopathy was observed at all age groups but more common in middle aged and elderly population. It is more common in males. The most common type is idiopathic cardiomyopathy followed by diabetic, alcoholic and peripartum cardiomyopathy. The common presenting symptoms include exertional dyspnoea, easy fatigability and pedal edema.https://www.jrmds.in/articles/clinical-profile-of-patients-with-dilated-cardio-myopathy-dcm-a-study-of-50-cases.pdfDilated cardiomyopathyCongestive heart failureIdiopathic DCMDiabetic DCMAlcoholic DCM
