Summary:After exploring the concept of camp and showing its important role in the sociological project of Pierre Bourdieu, the author of this essay makes a theoretical reflection about the political and juridical camps, in which she compares the constitutive elements of each camp. Among other topics, she discusses the camps’ fundamental laws, their autonomy, their boundaries or requirements to access, their specific capital and the competitions developed in them; the agents that compose them and their correspondent habitus; the rhetoric that characterizes them; the principles of their origin; their homologies with the social space and some ambiguities that both have.
