Summary: | Online Distance Education has made it possible to offer many undergraduate courses across the country, including degrees in foreign language. When it comes to a course to train qualified teachers to work with another language, it is necessary, beyond a qualified team, a virtual learning environment (VLE) which ensures the development of the four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. This is the case of Spanish courses offered by Brazilian public universities in partnership with the Open University of Brazil (Universidade Aberta do Brasil, UAB). Considering how important a VLE is to the learning of another language, this study sought to reflect upon Spanish professors’ perceptions about the Moodle VLE. These professors teach at an undergraduate degree in Spanish where Moodle is used. For that end, a study was conducted on the Moodle tools available in this environment, analyzing the real possibilities of work that this VLE provides by means of questionnaires. This way, it was possible to understand these Spanish professor’s views about this environment for learning Spanish. |
