Summary:To promote the complex processes of teachers' professional development, in-service teacher education activities are one of the best ways. However, teachers use to criticize them frequently because sometimes these activities do not foster the goals. Through the work we have done -this paper is part of a broader interpretative research-, we wanted to know which would be the features ofin-service activities to promote the development ofthe professionals of education in a significant and relevant way. To do this, we have analyzed and interpreted the words that twelve teachers who were involved in an special activity offered when we interviewed them.
