Description
Summary:(Series Information) European Papers - A Journal on Law and Integration, 2016 1(1), 347-348 | European Forum Highlight of 16 April 2016 | (Abstract) In January 2016, in Commission v. Cyprus, the Court of Justice of the European Union moved forward with the protection of the free movement of workers by adjudicating a case raised by the European Commission in an infringement procedure which concerned a domestic discriminatory measure jeopardizing old-age benefits of national civil servants in case of their resignation and subsequent migration to another Member State for reasons of work. The present highlight briefly explores the key-findings of the judgment and aims at identifying some possible consequences.
