| Summary: | <p>The article is devoted to the problem of the description of socio-political terminology in Russian and foreign linguistic and in particular lexicographic practices. Two traditional approaches of “narrow” and “wide” definition of the given terminology are considered. The first one stipulates inclusion of the lexical units with the seme “political”, “state”, “social” and “public”; the later – greatly expand the potential lexical semes.
