| Summary: | Territorial disparities are a common topic in the studies of geographers and of the institutions responsible for local, regional and national development, as well as in the political discourse. The large number of studies offers a great variety of methodologies. The article starts with defining the concept of disparities while specifying its paradigm, then proposes a synthesis of approaches towards the analysis of regional disparities, establishing several types of such approaches and provides an example of detailed analysis on an intra-regional level of a region of Romania - Banat. |
