The first set of amendments was enforced under the Act of 7 February 2008 amending the Act on Rail Transport and related to certificates of compliance. It transposed the Commission’s Directive 2007/32/EC of 1 June 2007 amending Annex VI to Council Directive 96/48/EC on the interoperability of the trans-European high-speed rail system and Annex VI to Directive 2001/16/EC of the European Parliament and Council on the interoperability of the trans-European conventional rail system. Subsequently, the Amendment Act of 10 July 2008 expanded the Act on Rail Transport by a new Chapter 4a on the working time of railway employees engaged in interoperable crossborder services. The latter implemented Council Directive 2005/47/EC of 18 July 2005 on the Agreement between the Community of European Railways (CER) and the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF) on certain aspects of working conditions of mobile workers engaged in interoperable cross-border services in the railway sectorhttps://yars.wz.uw.edu.pl/images/yars2009_2_2/13-Legislative_K-Zawisza.pdf
