Summary:This study was performed based on a sequential landscape investigation method of the best-known Buddhist temples in Korea to determine its characteristics through the comparison of the applied data acquisition method and the quantitative data of employed elements. The major objectives of this study can be determined as follows: first, consideration of the sequential method using image data; second, configuration of a subjective site and investigation of its environments; third, examination of landscape elements using images produced using normal and fish eye lens; and fourth, suggestion of a direction that investigates the characteristics of sequential landscape using a manner of visual perception through the comparison of the characteristics of landscape elements. Finally, a method that approaches the objective in the aspect of the visual world rather than the sequential approach in the visual field was summarized
