Description
Summary:This article presents some of the results of the survey « Family and employers » of INSEE in France. The article highlights data on the expectations of workers, on the knowledge they have of the family situation, of measures (financial and others) offered, as well as working time arrangements. The article shows that the public family policy already contributes to a relative satisfaction of the French as regards work-family reconciliation, and can also explain a relatively high fertility rate in comparison with other European countries. But the options offered to parents are not always varied enough and it is important to pursue the development of childcare, without counting only on firms for this.
