Summary: | In recent years, anglo-saxon research on digital culture experiencing a "material turn". Under the name of "Digital Studies", they emphasize the study of the properties of hardware and software, paying attention to the conditions of their production, their history and their effects. However, « Sciences de l’information et de la communication » defend such a position for twenty years. This article questions the constitution of this epistemological axis in France, before presenting some work that could be gathered around the notion of "digital materialism." |
