Summary:The paper traces one aspect of R. I. Rozhdestvenskiy’ works, namely his accusatory poems, in comparison with Vladimir Mayakovskiy’s satirical works. The satirical techniques of creating artistic images that were common for both authors are researched and classified, they are: sarcasm, grotesque hyperbole, fantasy, allusion, metaphor, allegory, paraphrase, irony, etc. Based on the analysis, the traditions of the poet of the “Silver Age” and the innovations of Rozhdestvenskiy as an accuser are traced in accusatory verses and poems by R. Rozhdestvenskiy.The study proved that Mayakovskiy’s and R. I. Rozhdestvenskiy’s satires are organic parts of their concept of aesthetic ideals in their personal relationship to the world and the people, setting new spiritual values of the poet’s contemporary society.
