Summary:This study aimed at exploring the rate of prevalence irrational beliefs and their relation with some variables. The study sample consisted of (220) male and female university students. The Irrational Beliefs scale was used. The results showed that. the most spread irrational belief among students is the irrational belief number (3). represents with «some people are bad and evil». and the irrational belief number (6) represents with «anxiety of danger and catastrophes». The rest of the other beliefs were more rational than being irrational to the sample. Additionally.there were significant differences due to gender variable in favour of male. but there are no statistically significant differences due to specialization and cumulative average. In the light of the study findings a number of recommendations were suggested.
