Summary: | Hong Konger ceramics artist and sculptor Johnson Tsang who is also known as Tsang Cheung conveys real images in a surreal way to the viewer by eliminating the line between abstract and metaphoric art with the steel and porcelain. It is possible to see jumping water, kissing coffee, imbedded faces in water, dragons and melting figure among the works of the artist. Tsang adds a new dimension to the concept of reality by using his unusual imagination in his works. His metal and ceramics works creates a relationship between a nonliving object and a human figure. By turning unpredictable structure and sudden changes of liquids into solid forms, he succeeds to excite attention of viewers. In this study, artist’s work called “Talking To Me” is going to be analyzed; technique and especially expression of the artists are going to be evaluated through this work. |
