Description
Summary:The phenology of five populations of wild cherry in the northwest of Tunisia was studied over the period 2010-2014. The phenological events studied are leafing, blooming and fruiting. The appearance of leaves is significantly correlated with the increase of rain, coupled with the rise of temperature during the months of March and April. The peak of blooming took place once a year: at the end of April-beginning of May at Ain Draham and in the middle of April at Tabarka. The fruiting is plentiful when the average rain of the months in June, July and August increases in the forest of Ain Draham. The climatic variability could compromise the survival of plants of the northwest of Tunisia.
