Summary: | <p><strong>RESUMO:</strong></p><p>Este artigo integra parte da discussão da tese que estou elaborando junto ao Instituto de Educação – Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação (PPGE) - da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (UFMT), cujo objeto de estudo é as práticas educativas escolares e culturais em Mato Grosso, presentes nos espaços de sociabilidade da população de Vila Bela da Santíssima Trindade (Vila Capital) e na Vila Real do Senhor Bom Jesus de Cuiabá, na segunda metade do século XVIII, mediante a interação de singularidades dos saberes cotidianos de homens e mulheres, fundamentais para evidenciar as modalidades do fazer educacional, de natureza escolar (1759-1772) e também os nãos sistemáticos utilizados para se “educar” e “instruir” a população de Mato Grosso nos setecentos, seja na perspectiva de revelar aprendizados nos limites da educação escolar, como também dar a conhecer outros processos e possibilidades históricas pelos colonizadores e colonizados na Vila de Cuiabá e Vila Bela, sobre os quais recai ainda uma grande margem de desconhecimento.</p><p> </p><p><strong>PALAVRAS-CHAVE:</strong> História da Educação.
