Description
Summary:This article tries to present the values of the crime novel. On the one hand, it focuses on those values sustained by its external ideological content, i.e., on the nominal, social and political value documented in numerous essays. On the other hand, it delves into its hidden ideology, and deepest values: death and its symbolical representation in the detective and black story in order to show that the death instincts that lead to murder are aimed at an end: establish, murder after murder, a deadly ritual that becomes a real sacrifice for the reader. Thus, in the crime novel, no one is inno-cent, not even those who read it.
