It analyzes the way as the book and the reading _ is represented in two films __ La Lectrice, by Michel Deville, and The Próspero’s Books, by Peter Greenaway __, considering them paradigmatics of two possibilities of reading/reception of written and audiovisual texts. Finally, it reflects on standards of continuity and rupture of these activities from the context of the Internet and the ciberculture.</p>
