A 20-item questionnaire was employed to interview the participants. 2257 burned cases detected, 55.57% occurred in women, 44.93% in urban areas, 51% in individuals younger than 20 years old, 37.12% in children below 9 years, 80.86% in houses, and 31.4% in winter.Associations were found between female gender and burns related to boiling water, intentional burns, and burns in the house and in the kitchen. Moreover, burns with molten bitumen and male gender were significantly related. Generally, at least in terms of burning, houses can be a dangerous environment especially for children and women.
