Sergiu Cuciuc is part of the middle generation of national visual arts. Painter, public personality, the artist was among the first to approach, in an original version what it means and how it can be reflected in painting the way to become the owner of an unmistakable stylistic manner. Everything is due to the motives that derive around some priority topics in its creation: the people from the villages with their daily worries, during the holidays or during the work process, located in the monumental setting of the picturesque hills against which the activities take place. He proved, from the beginning, that he is an author who meditates, selects, analyzes, removing insignificant details and emphasizing the main message through laconic compositions and sober, decorative color. He took from European art the scenes with numerous figures, adapting them to the well-known landscape of Moldova, becoming, along the way, an artist of metaphor in painting, in the form of a non-figurative art.
