Summary: | The influence that some French pamphlets exercised on the late work of Diego de Saavedra Fajardo, has filled few lines in recent studies. We present an exhaustive analysis of the pamphlet sources of Locuras de Europa, which allows for a clear view of the internal organization of the work and the true intentions of its author. The identification and study of De la nécessité de prendre Dunkerque, Avis des-interessé, Fin de la guerre des Pays-Bas and La Catelogne Françoise, all of them directly mentioned in the pages of Locuras de Europa, highlight the constant political and literary confrontation between the two great European powers at that time.
