Summary: | Aim: This study aimed to investigates the development and change process of career engagement among female Iranian undergraduate so it would compare career engagement during the semesters in undergraduate students. Methods: This research was a descriptive cross sectional study. Among the population of 6000 students, 361 students were selected by cluster sampling method who completed the Career Engagement Scale (Hirsch, Freund, & Herrmann, 2014). Results: Based on descriptive findings, career engagement was at the highest degree in fifth semester. The one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that there was no significant difference between amounts of career engagement among the female students in different semesters. But in pairwise comparisons, the degree of career engagement in first semester was significantly lower than third and fifth semesters. Conclusion: Results showed that career engagement increases during different academic years, so one of the most important missions of career interventions for the students of the first year is to focus on increasing their career engagement. |
