Summary:Human resources is one of the most important factors affecting production and costs for enterprises. Human resources is the most difficult controllable factor of the production process due to its complex structure. For this reason, motivation is a concept that directs people working in production to a specific purpose and indirectly reduces costs by increasing productivity. In this study, with the help of the forest enterprises operating in Gümüşhane province, it was tried to determine the motivation status of the employees, lack of motivation and the subjects they were satisfied with. In addition, the relationships between the motivations of the employees and some personal characteristics such as age, gender, income, education, duration of service and marital status were also examined. As a result, the forest enterprises operating in Gumushane province have the motivation of their employees; management-employee relationship, health problems, wages, the nature of work and working conditions, the relationship with colleagues, promotion / promotion has emerged as a significant impact. Also, it was determined that the motivation of the employees did not differ according to the gender and marital status variables while the age groups, education level, income, number of children, total working time in the enterprises and working time in the enterprise varied.
