Summary:Justice is the fundamental institution that ensures and protects the rights of the individuals and their equality before the law, for the functioning of the state of law and social justice. This is the reason why any misconduct of the staff of the institutions of justice has negative consequences on its image. This paper – outcome of the analysis and processing of the results of a concrete research on the public image of the justice system in Romania – focuses on how the institution is perceived by the citizens at this moment, highlighting some aspects of the difficulties in achieving a fair and lawful act of justice, as they are perceived by the public
