Summary: | The “Espace des temps du Grand Lyon” project, which recently became the “Temps et services innovants” project, has been studying urban territories for several years using methods derived from the social sciences. This project frequently collaborates with geographers and urban-planners from the universities of Lyon and Grenoble in order to analyze urban mobility and transportation, through the prism of urban rhythms. Thanks to that academic partnership, the project has gained legitimacy in the eyes of local councillors. It can now participate in academic research programmes headed by the scientists the project is used to collaborating with. Thanks to the students who work as interns on the project, these interactions between scientists and professionals are leading to an authentic co-construction of knowledge. |
