In the international criminal scene one of the most serious threats is illegal immigration and the trafficking in human beings. This is one of the most profitable organized crimes and one of the most hateful and vile crimes against people.In Italy, repressive and preventative measures have been adopted by politicians, especially after the increase of the trafficking of human beings towards Lampedusa and Pantelleria. For example, we can mention the introduction of Law 228/2003 named “Measures against the trafficking of human beings” and the possibility of introducing under cover policemen into criminal organizations.Gangs from Albania, Nigeria, China and East Europe have reduced non-European people to slavery and used women to earn money. It is important that all countries, the Interpol and the legal system work together in order to fight organized crime.
