Summary:The study of Personal Entrepreneurial Characteristics (SPC) is important to determine why, the successful management practices of male and female managers of the Credit Unions (COAC) in the city of Riobamba, Ecuador. The development of the unions is due to the fact that they strengthen, steadily, constantly, with practice and training. If this human talent has the internal motivation and wants to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to achieve their goals they will implement an action plan with commitment, passion and determination (be active, willing and able). It is results that establish the state of knowledge of the processes, performed in different functional and social areas, of the management of cooperative societies. These must be governed by social and economic interests, which contribute with strength, force and presence to the welfare of its owners: the members. Given these considerations, the present research describes a general profile of the entrepreneurial or business capabilities of the managers; this profile changes due to the constant professionalization of the human talent in order to be at the head of this group of people, who form part of the social economy.
