First, by questioning their role in meetings and assemblies, then by demanding a seat at the table. This article will analyze their claims and demands demonstrating how these reveal their ideals, concerns and needs as the women struggle to gain rights — both social and as citizens. Furthermore, this article will explore the theoretical framework of indigenous movements and feminism mediated by lens of building ethnic identity and life experiences within indigenous communities.
