Summary:Article investigates the phenomenon of the creative class and its multidisciplinary nature in the Richard Florida’s book The Rise of the Creative Class, its translated version to Lithuanian language. Analysis presented in the article aims to reveal the relevance of one of the basic forces that shapes our economy and culture during past decades – creativity force, and as well its possible application in different science areas, directions with other management topics – intellectual capital management, entrepreneurship and related translation to Lithuanian language dillemas. Creativity is recognized as fundamental economic force, a reason for the rise new class – creative class. It is concluded that ideas related to creativity fostered in Florida’s book are useful for the studies and development of management, economics, architecture, technology science and other areas.
