Summary:This article presents a doctrinal and legal reflection on youth leadership, understood as a form of action and participation of young people in society , which enables a healthy personal and social development, fostering autonomy and sense of security to face the adult world situations, while that raise awareness as members of a community are also responsible for demands related to collective welfare. A concept of the term youth participation will be presented, its stages, false forms of their occurrence and the legal treatment to this institute, the international and national legislation, demonstrating the importance of realization of this human right.
