Summary:The article touches upon the problem of the necessity for complex training of future teachers-choreographers. The relevance of the paper derives from the primacy of creative activity in the teacher’s intellectual, spiritual and professional development. It’s indicated that the choreography influences positively the mental and physical state of the choreographer. It’s also emphasized that the choreographic art has a great impact on all aspects of a personality’s development and plays an important role in the spiritual-moral, intellectual, aesthetic education of the choreographer and is a part of the spiritual culture of Ukrainians. A great number of literary resources on issues of future teachers-choreographers’ training has been analyzed. Analyzing theoretical researches and empirically based findings of the contemporary pedagogy allows to state that there is the lack of psychological and pedagogical studies of future teachers-choreographers’ training in conjunctions with intellectual and cognitive, emotional and valuable attitude to the choreographic, cultural, professional psychological and pedagogical skills and choreographic professionalism. The professional functions of the teacher-choreographer are determined as: informational, developing, social, orientation, research and professional. The need for the development of professional and creative competence as the determinants of training of a highly qualified primary school teacher in the cоnditions of updating the education system. The features of the development of the teacher’s professional creative competence as a factor in ensuring the quality of teaching choreography. The author concludes that teachers-choreographers have to be well-trained in the sphere of their specialization – choreography and simultaneously get relevant knowledge in the sphere of psychology and pedagogy. The main indicator of qualitative training in choreography is the development of professional competences of a teacher-choreographer who is able to conduct the activity in changeable socio-economical and information-technological conditions, to analyze the results of pedagogical activity and to get the positive results.
