Découverte d’une porte monumentale sur l’oppidum de Cordes-Chateloi à Hérisson

After three years of research carried out on the oppidum of Cordes-Chateloi at Hérisson, a planned excavation has just been completed on the Gallic rampart of the site. It took place at a place named Babylon, a little plateau on which the massive Celtic bank is supported. The excavations disclosed some unexpected remains, as it happens a wall and a paved way in a monumental style, which seem to indicate the presence of a gateway giving access to the oppidum.
