Summary:Cnemidophorus vacariensis (Teiidae) is endemic to southern Brazil, occurring in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná. In the state of Paraná, this species has only been recorded in the municipality of Candói, central-south region of the state. Herein, a new record of one individual of C. vacariensis is reported for the municipality of Tibagi, located in the central-eastern region of Paraná. This record represents the northern limit of distribution of the species.
