Summary:The paper analyzes the objective conditions of Ukrainian tractor rise to a higher level by development of production power tractors 170-240 hp with continuously variable hydrovolumetric-mechanical transmissions (HVMT). Such transmissions first developed by scientists the former Soviet Union of the Department of Car and Tractor Industry National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" with specialists Kharkiv Tractor Plant (KhTP). Testing prototypes of tractors and HTZ-21021 and HTZ-242K in field conditions proved the effectiveness HVMT developed for different farming technologies, keeping these tractor HVMT in the public sector market.
