Summary: | This study, part of a doctoral dissertation about career development in Higher Education, aimed to identify relations among life satisfaction, career commitment and career exploration in undergraduate students. Participated in the study 939 students, men and women (50,9%), regularly attending classes in different fields of study, between 18 and 30 years old (m=22 years; sd=2,93 years), in initial (36,8%), intermediate (30%) or final (33,2%) levels of undergraduation. Results show good levels of life, course and career satisfaction. Initial level students showed higher career commitment, but lower vocational exploration than final level students. It can be concluded that support strategies to students must consider vocational characteristics related to field of study and level, and help to elaborate future career plans. |
