Description
Summary:The objective of this research was to observe the effect of combination of red ginger meal, turmeric meal and seed-under-leaf plant (RTSM) meal to basal on nutrient digestibilities and metabolizable energy in broiler. Twenty four male broilers of 45 day old, were maintained in metabolizable cages. Variables measured were protein digestibility, fat digestibility, apparent metabolizable energy (AME) and apparent metabolizable energy corrected by nitrogen (AMEn). The method used in this research were experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications in each treatment. The treatment were P0: basal diet without addition of RTSM and tetra chlor, P1: basal diet + tetra chlor 4 g/kg, P2: basal diet + RTSM 4 g/kg, P3: basal diet + RTSM 8 g/kg, P4: basal diet + RTSM 12 g/kg, P5: basal diet + RTSM 16 g/kg and 4 replications in each treatment. Data were collected and subjected to analysis of variance of the completely randomized design. The differences among treatments were tested by Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The result of stastistical analysis showed that the addition of antibiotic or meals (red ginger, turmeric and seed-under-leaf plant) 16 g significantly influenced (P < 0.05) on protein digestibility, but did not significantly influenced (P > 0.05) fat digestibility, AME and AMEn. It can be concluded that the addition of combination of 16 g/kg meals (red ginger, turmeric and seed-under-leaf plant) showed the best effect on protein digestibility.
