Summary:The shadow of the poetry of Rubén Darío and Juan Ramón Jiménez is spreaded over time, extending their poetic heritance throught next years and generations of poets. These intellectuals –the first, father of the modern poetry and the second, representative of his highest nude- are analyzed and read once again by one of the most important intellectual of the 20th century: Octavio Paz. We use the anthology Laurel and two of his early essays.
