Summary: | Between Romania and the newly founded Hungarian state after the WWI the cessation of military hostilities was continued by a situation of de facto belligerence in diplomatic and imagistic political politics, for which neither party did not save energy and funds. The defense of the resolutions signed at Trianon and implicitly of Great Romania was the main objective of Romanian diplomacy in the interwar period, and vice versa, the attack of the Trianon was the obsession, the main objective of Hungarian diplomacy and propaganda during the same period. For Hungary, in the conditions of military defeat and the situation to be surrounded by states whose borders were subject of Hungarian territorial claims, cultural propaganda was meant to replace what could not be done on the military plane. |
