This study aims to perform calculations to predict the strength of the supporting structure of the billboard by considering: the dimensions of the billboard, the dimensions of the supporting pole, the height and speed of the wind. Case studies of wind speed were taken in the city of Yogyakarta for the last 5 years. In this study, the tensile strength testing of advertisement support pillars and the analytic calculation of billboards is more than 20 m2 in width, with the size of the pole diameter and thickness adjusted for the construction data of advertising companies. Analytical calculations are carried out on the billboard support poles with one supporting pole. Laboratory testing of materials Black and galvanized steel plates that are widely used on billboard poles show a yield strength of 303.92 MPa and a maximum strength of 303.94 MPa. The results of calculations using the analytic equation that has been done on the billboard with an example in Yogyakarta, it is known that billboards with a size of 3x7 m2, 4x7 m2 and 4x10 m2 made by advertising companies are declared safe because the maximum critical stress value does not exceed the permitted stress. https://rekayasasipil.ub.ac.id/index.php/rs/article/view/510billboardscritical stressessupport polessense of security |
