Summary:This research aimed to study the composition and metrics of school-based management in local development. For schools under Chaiyaphum Provincial Administration Organization. Current situation, desirable condition, school-based administration, local development. For schools under Chaiyaphum Provincial Administration Organization. And develop a management approach using the school as a local development base. For schools under Chaiyaphum Provincial Administration Organization. Research and development. phase 1: study the components and metrics. The objective of the study was to determine the mean of standard deviation. Phase 2: current situation and desirable condition are divided into 2 stages. Step 1: The sample of 255 school administrators and teachers were stratified by random sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The statistics used were mean, standard deviation Index of required needs step 2: study the best practice schools in three schools. The target group is the school administrators. Head of Learning Group 9 teachers involved purposive sampling. The instruments used were interview and observation. Analyze data by depicting the synthesis of content. phase 3: development of a school-based management approach for local development is divided into 2 phases. target group the 9 criteria were selected by purposive sampling. The instruments used were the mean, standard deviation step 2: evaluate the development of school-based management approaches for local development. For schools under Chaiyaphum Provincial Administration Organization. Target groups include school administrators. Head of Learning Group 30 teachers involved purposive sampling: The instrument used was a statistic using the standard deviation. The results are as follows. 1. The result of the study on the components and indicators of school-based management in the local development. Chaiyaphum Provincial Administration Organization consists of 4 areas, 17 indicators and found that the results of the evaluation of the suitability of the components and the management indicators using the school as a base for local development. overall, at the highest level. 2. Result of the study current condition Desirable School-based administration for local development Current status, desirable condition, school-based management, local development. Evaluation of appropriateness and feasibility. Development of management approach using the school as a base for local development for educational institutions under the Provincial Administration Organization. Found to be appropriate overall, it was at a high level. possibility overall, it was at a high level.
