Purpose: to present a clinical case of mixed infection – enteritis – caused by Yersinia enterocolitica and Astrovirus, in a 1-year old child hospitalized with acute diarrheal syndrome of infectious genesis to the Varna Hospital for Infectious Diseases. The study used clinico-epidemiological, laboratory data and information from medical documentation. Results. The patient was diagnosed with enteritis caused by Yersinia enterocolitica and Astrovirus, a mixed form of infection. As a result of the treatment, the child quickly recovered, and the control fecal samples did not give rise to pathogenic bacteria and did not show the presence of viral antigens. Conclusion: mixed infections caused by intestinal pathogens represent an actual problem and they are an object of scientific research. We described the clinical case of a mixed infection with a normal course in a medium-severe form, without complications, and it resulted in complete recovery of the patient after a 5-day course of antibiotic therapy.https://www.ped-perinatology.ru/jour/article/view/731childrenintestinal yersiniosisastrovirusmixed infectionmezadenitiscourseantibiotic therapy
