Description
Summary:The aim of our researches was to assess the effectiveness of the multi-enzyme additive obtained by mixing the following ingredients: micro - and macro-elements in the form of salts, vitamins, flovouring, amino acid (lysine) and enzymes (cellulase, glucoamylase, protease). Four experimental groups of calves were constituted and they received during a period of 20 days since their birth different additive doses: 5, 7, 10, 15 g per animal once a day. The calves from the control group did not receive the feed additive. Growth intensity and productive performances of calves from the experimental groups had higher values compared with those from the control group. On average, during the experimental period, the largest average daily weight gain was recorded by calves that received 10 g of additive (by 14.7 % higher than in the control group). The results of immunobiological analysis of blood serum showed an increase in the natural resistance indices of calves after 20 days of experiment. It is recommended to give calves this additive together with colostrum (milk) daily from birthup to the 20th day at a dose of 10 g per animal, once a day.
