In this article, it has been proved that the tradition of criticism had been founded in the age of Prophethood and Islam didn't consider it as forbidden tree rather it devised the rules to differentiate between standard and substandard literature. This genre was further promoted in the reigns of Umayads and Abbasids and books were written on this topic.
