The paper tries to understand the relationship between work and health from various aspects of established theories and health behaviours in industry. The theoretical perceptive of occupational health is discussed in the context of self-defensive and self-protective behaviours of working population. Various search engines like PubMed, scopus, web of sciences, and jstore were searched to explore the phenomena of occupational health. Further, several themes and sub-themes have been identified according to the classification of theories in occupational health. The health belief and behaviour towards occupational health of working population have been derived from various theories.
