Summary:We presented a sexual health programme for women following mastectomy. It could be used both in primary health care settings as well as in specialised areas and involve support groups aimed at these women. The programme would be run by midwives and require the collaboration of other professional, primarily psychologists.The aim of the programme is to promote a positive sexual experience for women after having a mastectomy.Proposed is a thirteen session health programme. The objectives and results criteria have been laid out. The evaluation, in the form of a questionnaire, will give us information about knowledge changes and new skills acquired by the woman, the process, results and also the uptake rate of the programme. It will also give information on how satisfied the women were on the course.
