Description
Summary:The present work intends to identify and characterize the units of the territorial- spatial analysis (census fractions) of intensive activity, especially horticulture and to examine the importance of this activity in La Plata and within the provincial and national context. Variables such as labor force, total surface, open field and greenhouse cultivated surface area, land ownership and technology were taken into account. The 1998 Horticultural Census of the Province of Buenos Aires and the 2002 Agrarian National Census (CNA02) were examined and compared. The results are presented on tables, charts and thematic maps in GIS (SIG ArcView).
