Summary:Slavic Grammar of Meletius Smotritsky (Evie, 1619) is the most important scientific and educational work. This book has had a significant role in the development of education, science and culture in the XVII-XVIII centuries. The surviving copies of the first edition of the work of Meletius Smotritsky are of great scientific interest. The Russian State Library has the largest number of copies of this publication. Nine copies of this edition are kept here. The article considers examines copies of Grammar of Meletius Smotritsky from the collection of the Russian State Library, describes the ex-libris, notes, litters, binding. Of great interest is the supplementary record of 1664/1665. It was made by cellarer of the Trinity-Sergius Monastery by Simon Azaryin. Among the records of the XVIII century are of interest information about buying a book in Rostov for 1 ruble 20 kopecks. Copies previously belonged to large monastic c ollections (the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, the Nilova Hermitage, the Old Believer community of the Rogozhskoye Cemetery), the libraries (the Rumyantsev Museum, the Prussian Royal Library), and the bibliophiles V. M. Undolsky, A. I. Markushevich. Some conclusions about the existence of the book in the XVII-XX centuries are provided.
