Description
Summary:In the event that a new and improved species of “Homo” could arise, we must keep in mind the colonization of Europe by Cromagnons and the subsequent extinction of Neanderthals. The question is how could we, if we could at all, artificially select individuals for the new species: Will they be more benevolent, cooperative, or aggressive than we are? Will it be necessary to reproductively isolate them from us? We must analyze each of these questions in the context of our own evolutionary and cultural history. These questions can be answered with a categorical no. A species as territorial and aggressive as our own, with its cultural saga, won’t create its own gravedigger. Our species will fight for its survival without bowing to a new Homo species.
