Summary:The article presents results of the project "Comprehensive systematization of pedagogical practices in physical education in the cities of Manizales and Villamaría", developed in educational institutions. Objectives: to identify the dynamics of physical education practices and compare what is established in the institutional documents, describe the dynamics and interpret the trends of these practices. Methodologically, it relied on complementarity. Findings: evidence of stagnant processes of pedagogical practices and the teaching of this discipline, reducing the role of the student to a simple player of activities.
